What is the Ohio Graudation Test?
- The Ohio Graduation Test was set up to test student's proficiency in Math, Science, Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. The OGT is now the official exam used by the state of Ohio as the state - wide exam. The previous test that was used was Ninth Grade Proficiency Test. The OGT was set up in accordance to the "No Child Left Behind" law because students are required to be tested in Reading and Math as well as wanting students to be tested on a wider range of subject area instead of knowledge they should have learned from the eighth grade.
