This webpage was built to help teachers, administrators, students, and parents become aware that adolescent development can be a tough time in a young person's life.  Such issues that arise during these years are violence, pregnancy, eating disorders, and depression.  With everything going on in a student's life, many times school is the last thing on the list.  Therefore, all those involved with adolescent education need to become informed about these issues, and we have barely scratched the surface.  However, we have provided some background information about these topics, along with teacher strategies and outside resources to gain more help and information.
