Dr. Brooks is available to consult with regional service centers, school district and building level teams to teach his innovative, 4 stage, 32 step grant writing system. A one day session includes introducing the 4 stage, 32 step model and a grant writing simulation. The simulation includes analyzing an RFP, creating an Action Summary Form, creating a Grant Writing Guide and creating a Key Vocabulary List. Summer, 2008 Every summer Dr. Douglas Brooks offers an online 3 graduate credit hour workshop on grant writing through Miami University. The course is offered through the Continuing Education Office during the last two weeks in June. Miami University Offers Summer School 08 Grant Writing Workshop Grant Writing Made Easy EDT 699.V 3 Hours Graduate Credit June 16 to June 27 Instructor: Dr. Douglas Brooks, Professor, Miami University This unique course has been successfully offered for a number of summer sessions. Participants will learn how to review Requests for Funding Proposals (RFPs), create a Grant Writing Template, Action Summary and Key Vocabulary List, author a grant proposal using Dr. Brooks' proven methods for successful grant applications. The course will be primarily online and be organized in productive teams. Sources for grant funding will be introduced. If you have a grant you have been wanting to apply for, this is the course to learn how to successfully apply for that grant. You will be encouraged to create a grant you will actually apply for when the two weeks are completed. Consider having a team from your district or building enroll in the course. A majority of the course will be taught using a web-based model with a supporting listserv and online resources. Ohio eTech Offers Online Grant Writing Course for Graduate Credit "Grant Writing Made Easy" Online Course Offering Dr. Douglas Brooks, Miami University eTech Ohio is offering new eLearning - Online Professional Development courses. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will take place using the eTech Ohio Opportunity Tracking Tool.
