Professional Development Grants

The Professional Development (PD) Grant helps North American schools and school districts ensure teachers get the maximum value from their SMART Board products. The PD Grant assists teachers who wish to attend SMART Master's Programs - in-depth, instructor-led sessions that will help them master the board's features and use them effectively in the classroom.

Terms
The PD Grant is a flexible Grant that provides professional development funds to train as many participants as necessary. Only one Grant per educational facility will be awarded. However, PD Grant recipients can use the Grant to enroll in any number of SMART Master's Programs.

NEC Grants (Visual Presentation Products)

This Grant is an educational award that assists educators in the purchase of NEC visual presentation products for their classrooms. Developed by the SMARTer Kids Foundation, the Grant helps tens of thousands of K-12 schools, higher-education facilities and technical institutions acquire interactive technology by increasing its affordability and accessibility.

Terms
The SMARTer Kids Grant for NEC Visual Presentation Products is available to all public or private, accredited, not-for-profit educational institutions, authorized homeschoolers, museums, science centers, and libraries involved in K-12, college, university, vocational and technical instruction or administration. Institutions must provide educational programming, which is recognized by your local school district and be located in the United States or Canada. Grants will be awarded based on the feasibility, originality and innovative elements provided on the Grant application, as judged by a committee appointed by the Foundation.

PREP Grants (Technological Integration)

The PREP Grant is an international grant from the SMARTer Kids Foundation of Canada (the "Foundation") that helps teacher-training facilities purchase their first SMART products. Specifically, the aim of the Grant is to assist preservice and in-service facilities to provide technology-integration training that can empower teachers to create more dynamic, interactive learning environments.

Eligibility
The PREP Grant is available only to accredited, not-for-profit universities, colleges, and teacher-training facilities that provide preservice and in-service training leading to an education degree or a professional teacher certification for a minimum of 100 teachers per year. Prior recipients are not eligible.
