Crisis Control

Crisis situations occur in America's schools at an alarming rate.  Counselors should be well equipped to handle these situations and the children properly.  Knowing how to deal with school violence, teen suicide, and even bullying can help the counselor diffuse the situation, or help prevent it completely.

Crisis situations can occur in many different ways in a child's life.  They can be categorized as being anything tragic or extremely difficult to deal with alone.
Some areas of students' personal lives that school counselors help students cope with are: divorce, bulllying, and school violence.  In some situations preventing bullying can prevent possible school violence.
